Lightstone's Services & Pricing
Explore Lightstone’s psychotherapy, organizational consulting, leadership, and military cultural competence services. This page is designed to help individuals, couples, families, and organizations understand available options, expected investment, and the best next step for moving forward.
Find the Right Starting Point
Lightstone offers two primary streams of service: psychotherapy and counselling for individuals, couples and families, and organizational consulting, coaching and training for leaders, teams and organizations.
This page provides psychotherapy and consulting pricing to help individuals, couples, leaders, and organizations understand typical fees and starting investments. Where services are more complex or customized, pricing is confirmed after a brief consultation and a clearly defined scope of work.
Compare Services, Fees & Starting Points
Start with the stream that best matches what you are looking for. Psychotherapy services are presented with clear session fees, while organizational services are shown with starting investments or custom pricing depending on scope and complexity.

Fees, Coverage & Practice Policies
A few additional details are important when planning psychotherapy services, including insurance coverage, reduced-fee availability, professional work outside sessions, and cancellation expectations.
Insurance & Direct Billing
Many extended health plans provide coverage for Registered Psychotherapists. Lightstone can direct bill participating insurers where available; however, coverage varies by plan and clients are responsible for confirming their benefits, deductibles, co-insurance, limits, and any amounts not covered. Direct billing through Medavie Blue Cross / Veterans Affairs Canada may be available where treatment has been authorized.
Limited Reduced-Fee Spaces
A limited number of reduced-fee psychotherapy spaces are available for clients experiencing financial barriers. Availability is limited and reviewed periodically so these spaces can remain accessible where they are most needed. The same standard of care applies regardless of fee level.
Clinical & Administrative Work
Professional work completed outside a scheduled session — such as letters, reports, record review, or consultation with another provider — is generally billed at $190 per hour, prorated in 15-minute increments. An estimate will be discussed in advance where more substantial work is required. Simple access to or transfer of an existing clinical record is handled separately in accordance with applicable privacy requirements.
Cancellation & Missed Appointments
Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment. Late cancellations and missed appointments may be charged up to the full scheduled fee, with reasonable discretion for genuine emergencies. Insurance plans generally do not reimburse missed-appointment fees.
Specialized Areas of Support
The session fees above also apply across a number of Lightstone’s specialized areas of psychotherapy, including military and Veteran counselling, men’s identity and purpose, Christian-integrated psychotherapy, and separation, divorce and family-court support. The appropriate session format depends on the nature of the work and will be discussed with you in advance.
Parenting through separation, co-parenting support, and parenting-plan preparation may also be available where clinically appropriate. These services remain therapeutic or psychoeducational in nature and do not constitute legal advice, family mediation, custody or parenting assessment, or the preparation of a legally enforceable agreement.

A Few Practical Details
Psychotherapy fees are generally due on the day of service unless direct billing or another approved payment arrangement applies. Clients remain responsible for deductibles, co-insurance, amounts above plan limits, exhausted benefits, and services that are denied or not covered by their insurer.
Organizational prices shown on this page are starting investments or typical service fees. Applicable HST is additional. Travel outside the National Capital Region, premium assessment tools or licensing costs, exceptional customization, translation or bilingual materials, and materially expanded scope may be quoted separately where required and will be identified in the written proposal before work begins.
Lightstone’s psychotherapy and consulting pricing is designed to provide clear expectations while allowing services to be tailored to individual and organizational needs.
